VIPM Pro allows you to create and subscribe to team package repositories. VIPM Pro can connect to repositories via HTTP(S), Local File, and Network File Sharing (UNC paths) protocols -- this is described in the VI Package Repositories How-to Guide.
One question we get a lot is:
How can I use DropBox (OneDrive, Box, Google Drive, etc.) for hosting a package repository?
The short answer is that you will probably need to install the desktop application for your file sharing service and have it appear as a virtual disk drive (like "X:\"). Then, you can add your repository by its local path (X:\Path\To\Package\Repository\Folder).
Note: If your file sharing service supports serving a static website over HTTP(S) then you might be able to get that to work. Services like DropBox used to support this, but they don't seem to support it any longer.
One of the drawbacks of this approach is that each client will effectively have a copy of the entire team package repository cached on their local computer. Some file sharing services are better optimized with their caching performance (to only download and cache files that are actually needed).
